An Environmental Resource Inventory (ERI) report is often required for certain proposed developments:
- within the Edwards Aquifer recharge or contributing zone;
- within a Drinking Water Protection Zone;
- containing a water quality transition zone (WQTX);
- containing a critical water quality zone (CWQZ);
- with sensitive/critical environmental features such as springs, karst recharge features, bluffs and rimrocks, and wetlands;
- within the 100 year floodplain; or
- with a gradient of more than 15%.
